A New Chapter for The School Office

Today we are sharing some important and exciting news about the future of The School Office. Following the mention shared on Friday 31 of July, we are excited to officially share this next chapter with our school community.

After careful thought and planning, Dan Hill has sold The School Office to Steve McHardy and Kate Kadaner, who are now the Directors and owners of the business.

This decision was not made lightly. Finding the right people to continue the work that has been built over many years was essential. From the outset, it was clear that Steve and Kate share the same values that have always guided The School Office — putting schools first, building genuine relationships, and delivering exceptional service with care, warmth and integrity.

What stays the same

While the ownership has changed, the things that matter most to our schools remain firmly in place:

• The same dedicated team will continue to support you

• The same friendly, knowledgeable and responsive service

• The same commitment to New Zealand schools

Dan will also remain with the business until at least 30 June 2027, working alongside Steve, Kate and the team to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.

Looking ahead

Steve and Kate are genuinely excited about the future of The School Office. They are committed to looking after our people, supporting our schools, and building on the strong reputation that has been created together.

We will continue to share updates, practical resources, and news through this blog. It will be one of the main places we keep schools informed as we move forward together.
